Spanish football expert Graham Hunter has insisted that Karim Benzema to Arsenal is a “doable deal”.
The Real Madrid striker has been heavily linked with a £45.5m transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
Hunter claims that the La Liga giants are in need of the money in order to pay off some of their massive debts, and fund a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
The respected journalist added that the potential move is in Benzema’s hands, and that a transfer request from the 27-year-old would pave the way for him to join the Gunners.

“Arsenal have the money and Real Madrid need the money. They are 500million euros in global debt,” Hunter told talkSPORT.
“They are trying to buy David De Gea and won’t go the extra mile to get him off Manchester United because of the cash, so they need the money.
“And because Rafa Benitez will play 4-2-3-1 there is one less place for an attacking player than there was last season.
“It is a doable deal, but it won’t happen unless Benzema says to Real Madrid: ‘I want to go to Arsenal’.”
Arsene Wenger has recently distanced himself from rumours linking his side with Benzema, who has scored 134 goals in 281 games for Real since arriving from Lyon for £25m in 2009.
