Liverpool have reportedly joined Arsenal in what could become a hotly-contested race for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Nabil Bentaleb.
The 20-year-old has come through the ranks at White Hart Lane to emerge as their first-choice central midfielder and made 25 starts in the Premier League last season.

However, he has recently admitted his frustration that talks over a new contract at Spurs have shown little sign of progress.
According to The Sun, Liverpool hope to take advantage of this situation by launching a £10m bid for the Algerian, who has also been linked with Arsenal.
The Gunners have other midfield targets though and acknowledge that a cross-North London deal is unlikely, but the Merseysiders are believed to be desperate to land the left-footed anchorman.
Liverpool recently agreed to sign James Milner on a free transfer from Manchester City, and Brendan Rodgers apparently wants to partner the England international with Bentaleb in the centre of the park, and push Jordan Henderson further forward.
