Arsenal are weighing up an £8m move for Juventus striker Fernando Llorente, according to reports.
Juventus are reportedly ready to offload the Spanish international following the arrival of Atletico Madrid attacker Mario Mandzukic, and The Sun reports Arsenal are keen to lure the player to the Emirates.
Llorente has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in recent days, however a “top” Juventus source told The Sun that the Serie A giants had not had any contact from the Red Devils in regards to the former Atheltic Bilbao man.
“It’s Arsenal who’ve been in contact — not United,” the source said.
“They have made an inquiry but there is no bid yet. But it is clear they are interested and it is also clear that Juventus are ready to listen.”
Llorente is understood to want out from Juventus after struggling for first-team action last season, and the arrivals of Mandzukic and Paulo Dybala means the 30-year-old is surplus to requirements at the club.
The Spaniard is believed to be desperate for a transfer in a bid to force his way into his country’s squad at EURO 2016.
