Markovic is another young player who has moved to the Premier League for big money. The Reds spent £20 million on the Serbian winger, who showed potential during his time at Benfica.
However, Markovic is unlikely to have much of an impact on the Reds starting XI this season. £20 million is a lot to pay for someone who could be warming the bench for most of the year and may not show his full potential for a while.
