With his future as a Man United starter up in the air, Maruoane Fellaini has set his sights elsewhere.
Louis van Gaal spent the better part of the summer transfer window revamping his midfield – which has made Marouane Fellaini a major loan target.
According to the Metro, Fellaini has become a major loan target for Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas. The Metro reported that Besiktas are ready to make an offer for the Belgian international to loan him out for the entire season.
Fellaini was a key member of LVG’s midfield rotation last year, but the additions of midfield Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger dropped him on the depth chart.
The Red Devils acquired the now 27-year-old Fellaini for a £27.5 million transfer deal out of Everton just before the window closed in 2013. In two seasons at Old Trafford, Marouane Fellaini has 6 goals in 43 appearances.
Man United have already made the Super Lig their dumping ground for unwanted stars this summer, having given up Robin van Persie and Nani to Fenerbahce shortly after the transfer window opened.
