Turkish side Fenerbahce are plotting an incredible move for Chelsea skipper John Terry, according to reports.
Terry has just a year remaining on his contract with the Blues, and The Daily Mail reports that Fenerbahce are keen to make a surprise swoop on the former England captain.
Fenerbahce are allowed to begin negotiating with Terry in January and are understood to be keen to offer the 34-year-old a £2.5m-a-year deal to join the Istanbul club.
Terry is reported to have previously given a move to Galatasaray some serious thought and the centre-back is understood to not be adverse to a move to Turkey.
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho dropped Terry to the bench at half-time during the Blues’ 3-0 loss to Manchester City, with the Portuguese boss revealing he needed to inject pace into his back four.
As well as the £2.5m-a-year deal, The Daily Mail reports Fenerbahce are also willing to offer Terry a hefty sign-on fee.
