One of the most shocking signings of recent times was confirmed earlier today when it was revealed that Chelsea will sign Radamel Falcao on a one-year loan from AS Monaco, who will receive a £7m fee as part of the deal.

Falcao was known as one of the world’s greatest strikers 12 months ago, but his reputation took a pounding during a horrible 2014-15 season, in which he scored just four goals in 26 Premier League games for Manchester United, who decided against making his loan move permanent.
As mentioned above, history tells us that the 29-year-old is a great player on paper – he has scored 25 senior international goals for Colombia.
But will he be a success at Chelsea? Here’s what the excitable, funny and sometimes cruel people of Twitter have had to say on the subject…
I don’t like Falcao… He’s past his best as far as I know… But unlike with United, he’s taking a huge pay cut to join us

I’m actually excited at the prospect of Falcao, not so long ago he’s absolute destroyed us single handedly!

Looking forward to seeing Falcao next year. I’m sure Jose will get him back on form again

I assume that playing in a small ground with no atmosphere will help get Falcao his confidence back!

What if I told you that it was not Falcao who flopped, it was Manchester United who flopped last season.
