On the whole, there was a positive reaction to the news that Santi Cazorla had also committed his future to the club. The Spaniard played a key role last season and will continue to do so in the new campaign.
Although Arsenal didn’t release any official terms of the extensions, many were merely pleased that the pair had been signed to new deals.

However, some were left perplexed with Walcott’s reported £140,000 per week deal and believe that the England international isn’t worth that kind of salary.
Walcott now earns as much as Ozil and Sanchez. He better show that he's worth it this season.

Theo Walcott -£6million a year on the basis that he might be eventually good enough and turn up enough in his job at some point. Game's gone

It remains to be seen how the 26-year-old performs next season as the Gunners eye a sustained title push, but he will certainly be under more pressure now in having to live up to his new deal and the expectations that will come with it.
