Best tweets as QPR sign veteran defender.Former Manchester United star Rio Ferdinand was yesterday announced as a Queens Park Rangers player, joining on a free transfer after being released by the Red Devils earlier this summer.
The 35-year-old has signed a one-year deal with Harry Redknapp’s side, and looks a good, experienced addition for the newly-promoted side as they look to keep themselves in the top flight this season.
Still, there was plenty of mixed reaction to the move, with many feeling that QPR are offering overly high wages to a player who looks well past his best. For the best tweets and reaction to this transfer, see below.

Rio Ferdinand will apparently earn £70,000/week at QPR. That sounds sensible.
