Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud had a night to forget in France’s 2-1 friendly win over Serbia.
Everything seemed to go wrong for the 28-year-old striker and things became so bad for Giroud that France fans booed their own player, despite their side grabbing a win against the Balkan nation.
Here are a few reactions to Giroud’s disappointing performance on Twitter:
It’s been a nightmare half for Giroud who has missed a hattrick of chances and lost ball in build up to Serbia goal. Getting a few boos, too

Giroud needs a goal. Already been said but his confidence via his body language seems shot.

One goal will keep us in the title race going into April and Giroud has a one on one. This will happen https://t.co/bNWzkqOTLk — howl (@wxzdom) September 7, 2015
Giroud missed many chances to produce for France, which can only make Arsenal uneasy about the foreseeable future of the French international.
The Gunners are lacking depth in the front third, and Arsene Wenger’s side will be sorely tested with Danny Welbeck expected to sit out up to six months after undergoing knee surgery.
Arsenal’s decision to not sign a striker during the transfer window may come back to haunt them, after the Gunners pursued scoring threats such as Karim Benzema and Edinson Cavani.
