Social media goes gangbusters in Australia over the retirement of one of the sport’s greats.
Brisbane Lions great Jonathan Brown today announced his retirement from AFL football, resulting in a Twitter celebration of his long and distinguished career.
Brown, known for his courageous playing style on the field and laid-back attitude off it, received thousands of congratulations and well-wishes for his career that spanned across 14 seasons and resulted in three premierships and a remarkable 594 goals.
