1) Theo Walcott – Arsenal
England and Arsenal’s 25-year-old flyer is the UK’s most likeable footballer, but sadly, he’ll miss this summer’s World Cup with the hamstring injury he picked up at the start of 2014. Walcott’s polite and well-spoken in interviews, but he’s also exciting to watch on the pitch because of his exceptional pace and trickery. Walcott was called up the World Cup squad when he was 16 but didn’t play, while he missed out on selection last time in 2010, and will cruelly now not get the chance to compete in the competition until he’s 29.
