England will face Pakistan for the right to play in the ICC Under-19 World Cup final, with the two teams squaring off in Dubai this morning.
Pakistan cruised through their quarter-final against Sri Lanka, with their top-order leading the way and helping their side to set up a dominant first innings lead.
Sami Aslam was unlucky not to raise his bat for the second time in his knock in being dismissed for 95, and he will again be a player to look out for today.
Imam-ul-Haq was also in-form at the top of the order for Pakistan last match, with the 18-yearold left-hander out for 82.
From there the likes of Kamran Ghulam also helped push the run-rate along, with the wickets being shared between Zia-ul-Haq, Karamat Ali, Zafar Gohar and Kamran Ghulam, with the group set to give England their fair share of headaches when batting.
England’s quarter-final victory was a bit closer in the end to say the least, fending off India with just five balls remaining with three wickets in hand.
England’s Matthew Fisher took 3-55 to help restrict India to just 221 runs, but consistent and late runs for the Three Lions, highlighted by 61 from Ben Duckett, helped them move onto the next round today.
