Jose Enrique has not played for Liverpool’s first team since January, but the former Newcastle United left-back regularly turns out for the Reds at Under-21 level.
The 29-year-old was again one of the overage players on duty for Liverpool’s youth team on Monday night as Leicester City were put to the sword at Langtree Park.
Enrique produced an excellent assist for Jerome Sinclair’s opener.

Sinclair is one of the fastest players on Liverpool’s books, but it was his speed of thought rather than his quickness of foot that saw him score here.

Harry Panayiotou levelled for the Foxes, before Cameron Brannagan scored a late winner.
Panayiotou earlier had a penalty kick brilliantly saved by Reds goalkeeper Ryan Fulton, who was perhaps inspired by Adam Bogdan’s spot-kick heroics in last Wednesday’s Capital One Cup victory over Carlisle United.
