The 32-year-old has long been number one at Stamford Bridge but has been dropped in favour of Thibaut Courtois this season, with the Belgian youngster returning to the club after three years on loan at Atletico.
Courtois’ departure has left Diego Simeone’s side in need of a new goalkeeper, and the La Liga champions could now move for the experienced Czech Republic international to come in this winter.
Cech has been quoted as saying he wants first-team football to ensure he is in line to represent his national side at Euro 2016.
