Right-back: Daryl JanmaatThe 24-year-old enjoyed an excellent season with Feyenoord last term and he would be a big improvement on Rafael da Silva.

He’d be a much better option than playing Phil Jones or Chris Smalling at right-back as well.

Janmaat is currently part of Van Gaal’s Dutch squad at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
