Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was involved in a serious car accident before the Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Newton was forced to sit out of this game, but he put initial fears of life-threatening injuries to rest when it was revealed that he escaped with nothing more than two transverse process fractures in his back.
After the Panthers escaped with a win against the Buccaneers with Derek Anderson at quarterback, their offense will receive a bonus as Newton is being listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns.
Pro Football Talk provided an update on Newton’s injury on Twitter.
