At 3-6 and with only a win over last-ranked Iowa State as their only Big XII victory, the Kansas Jayhawks were expected by most to be laughed out of their own stadium by a TCU Horned Frogs team that is 8-1 and has scored over 40 points in six games this year (not to mention setting numerous school records in a 82-27 laugher against Texas Tech).
But in a bizarre turn of events, Kansas leads TCU 13-10 at halftime thanks to an INT from defender JaCorey Shepherd off TCU QB Trevone Boykin, as well as a strong rushing effort from RB Tony Pierson and a mistake free game from QB Michael Cummings.
TCU, which just found itself in #4 in the College Football Playoff rankings this week after beating #7 Kansas State last week, can ill afford to let their playoff hopes die against 9th place Kansas this week.
