La Liga club want to sign Demba Ba in January.
Valencia have again been linked with a move for Chelsea striker Demba Ba, according to The Metro.
The La Liga outfit were reportedly interested in signing the Senegalese this summer as a replacement for Tottenham-bound Roberto Soldado but landed Portugal striker Helder Postiga instead.
But 29-year-old Ba is thought to remain a target and Valencia are preparing to offer the Blues £7m for his services.
Arsenal are also interested in the player and had a loan move for Ba cancelled at the eleventh hour by Chelsea, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho fearing a genuine title challenge from the Gunners following the deadline day arrival of Mesut Ozil.
Unlike Arsenal, Valencia boast a close relationship with Chelsea, having sold Juan Mata to the West London outfit and recently taken Oriol Romeu on loan.
Ba’s move would increase the bond between the two clubs, which also allows Chelsea first option on several Valencia academy prospects.
