The Spanish outfit want either Ba or Lukaku.
Having sold top-scorer Roberto Soldado to Tottenham Hotspur for £26m, Valencia want to replace the Spaniard with either Demba Ba or Romelu Lukaku of Chelsea, according to the Daily Mail.
Neither striker is guaranteed a starting place at Stamford Bridge this season, although returning manager Jose Mourinho has pledged faith in youth – meaning Ba is more likely to be sold than the Belgian.
It is no secret that the Blues want to sign Wayne Rooney this summer and if Manchester United agree to sell the forward to their rivals, one of the current stock will have to make way.
Los Che are keen to replace the gap the left by Soldado as quickly as possible and the Stamford Bridge duo are attractive prospects.
The Premier League club have already sent midfielder Oriol Romeu out on-loan to the Mestalla Stadium, so have a good relationship with the La Liga side.
Ba has had an indifferent time in west London since signing for £7.5m from Newcastle United in January and despite being prolific for the Magpies, has only managed to score twice in the Premier League in 14 matches.
It is a different story for Lukaku however, who had a brilliant time on-loan at West Bromwich Albion in 2012/13 by scoring 17 league goals.
At still just 20-years-old the £19.5m signing is unlikely to be sold by Mourinho and it is widely believed that the upcoming campaign will be the Belgium international’s breakthrough term at the Bridge.
