The Europa League is back and there are a plethora of sides from the English league in action, with Swansea City heading to Spain to face Valencia at the Mestalla Stadium.
After winning the League Cup and in turn the first major trophy in the Swans’ history last season, the Welsh club became eligible for European football and overcame both Malmo and Petrolul Ploiesti to qualify.
It’s a tough start for the Premier League side as they head to Spain to face veterans at this level Valencia.
Los Che were in the Champions League last year and only missed out this term by narrow margins to Real Sociedad.
In a group that also contains Swiss side St Gallen and Kuban Krasnodar of Russia there’s no doubts that tonight’s match will be the toughest for Michael Laudrup’s team.
That being said if Swansea take anything from the game then it will stand them in good stead to progress, as with the likes of Michu, Wilfried Bony and Jonjo Shelvey in the side, they certainly have the quality to go through.
Pablo Hernandez is injured and will not face the midfielder’s former side, whilst Leon Britton is suspended.
