Thunder up as OKC set to cross the pond for Manchester in October.
Having enjoyed a victorious pre-Olympic warm-up game at the Manchester Arena last summer, Kevin Durant went on to help Team USA secure an historic gold medal at London 2012.
So the news that he will be returning to the UK in October will probably be met with fond memories coupled with excitement as the 24-year-old prepares for a new year.
On Tuesday, the NBA announced details of their pre-season World Tour, which will see OKC take on the Philadelphia 76ers in England as part of their European leg.
However, there is plenty of basketball left this season as the Thunder look to go one better than last year’s achievements where they reached the Finals.
Eventually falling to the Miami Heat, the Western conference outfit will be focused on an immediate return to the showcase series and sealing an NBA title.
Despite the records tumbling and accolades arriving, Durant has had the misfortune of being outshone by LeBron James. However, that is no reason to not be excited about seeing him back on the court in the UK, and here are his top 10 plays from 2012. Thunder up!
