Another ground in Brazil is passed fit for purpose.
Preparations for next summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil are continuing at a pace as one more stadium that will be used in next year’s global showpiece event has been opened for use by the public.
The newly-built Arena Fonte Nova, in the north-eastern city of Salvador, hosted its first event on Sunday as Vitoria overcame Bahia 5-1 in a local derby match in the Campeonato Baiano (Bahia state league).
And now the ground will be one of six used at this summer’s Confederations Cup that is acting as a dry run for the big event in 2014.
