Jose Mourinho must really be patting himself on the back for keeping Nathan under contract after this.
If the Chelsea scouts needed any vindication for their decision to keep Brazilian teen Nathan on the payroll, they got plenty of it after the young stud’s big game for Vitesse.
With lightning-quick feet and a shot that seemed to defy the laws of physics, the Chelsea wonderkid scored against Roda JC in an Eredivise match this past weekend – and it is a sight to behold:
Nathan’s goal in the match helped lead the Dutch outfit to a 3-0 victory.
Chelsea signed the Atletico Paranaense ace in July and immediately loaned him out to Vitesse. Nathan made his debut – ironically enough – against the Premier League’s Europa League qualifier Southampton in an 0-2 loss that led to Vitesse’s elimination in a 0-5 aggregate.
Nathan had 5 caps and 5 goals as a member of Brazil’s Under-17 squad from 2013 to 2014, along with 3 goals in 14 appearances for Brazil’s Under-20 team.
