French ace will undergo medical on Thursday.
Valencia defender Adil Rami arrived in Italy on Friday evening ahead of completing the formalities of his move to AC Milan.
The 27-year-old will undergo a medical on Saturday ahead of an immediate switch to Serie A, although he will be unable to feature for his new club until January.
Rami had recently fallen out with Valencia and was suspended after publicly criticising his team-mates and coach, and as a result the La Liga outfit are keen to push through an exit as soon as possible.
It is understood that he will join Milan on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer for around €7m.
While his departure will be likely be met with disappointment, his arrival in Milan will be a boost for the Rossoneri who have suffered in defence this year.
The much criticised partnership of Philippe Mexes and Cristian Zapata have already conceded 13 goals so far this season, with only Bologna and Sassuolo conceding more.
As a result, it was felt that a change was needed although supporters will insist that the move is still three months late after the defence was neglected in the summer.
Nevertheless, Adriano Galliani appears to have secured a good deal for the French defender, and he will hope that his new recruit will settle over the next two months and be ready for action in the New Year.
