Crimson Tide aim to lock up teenage sensation early before other college’s attempt to swoop in.
At 14 years old, the pressures in life should be getting your homework done on time and asking the girl out in your maths class.
For Dylan Moses, he is under a different type of pressure, where he will spend the next four years of his life, four years before he even reaches that point.
Moses is a rare breed at the running back position and college can see that already. Current national champions Alabama want to lock up the stud prospect now, and be safe in the knowledge that in 2017 they will be acquiring a future elite talent for their offence.
In an article on Bleacher Report, the youngster impressed on open trial days so much that the Crimson Tide offered a scholarship on the spot, and must now wait for the teenagers decision.
It was an experience that was hard to imagine for Dylan’s father, Edward Moses.
“We met with Coach Saban after lunch and he talked to Dylan about his future and what he needed to do to achieve his potential as a student and as a football player.” Moses told AL.com
“When he said he was offering Dylan a scholarship, we asked a lot of questions just to make sure we knew exactly what he meant. Coach Saban said the Alabama staff believes Dylan has a chance to be the best player in the country in the Class of 2017 and they were ready to offer him a scholarship. That’s when the fireworks started going off in our heads.”
If you want to see what all the hype is about, you can see a highlight reel of his play last season, he’s easy to spot, he’s the really fast one running away with the ball.
