Over the years, Lancashire-born all-rounder Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff has become well known as one of cricket’s most entertaining players.
The 37-year-old, who came out of retirement last year, took his role as a performer to the next level during Thursday’s Big Bash T20 game between the Brisbane Heat and the Hobart Hurricanes.
While fielding for the Heat, Flintoff was mic’d up to the commentators from Network Ten, who persuaded him to do his famous Elvis Presley impersonation. He obliged, as the below video from Sky Sports shows.
Brisbane went on to win the match by 18 runs, but they will still end the season at the bottom of the eight-team table, having lost six of their eight matches.
Flintoff bowled two overs and went for 14 runs, which was not at all bad considering the high-scoring pattern of the game – Brisbane posted a first innings total of 198-6, before Hobart made 180-8 in reply.
