The two unbeaten British heavyweight prospects collide after years of bad blood following on from an amateur fight in which Joshua was floored and defeated.
In the time since, the pair have traded words through the media, some of which have heightened the tension more so than others, and in turn they have been building towards a showdown as professionals ever since.
Both men enter the fight with impressive knockout records and have both suggested that the fight will not go the distance despite the fact that they have prepared for 12 rounds, and so it promises to be an explosive night in London on what is a stacked Matchroom card.
Elsewhere on the bill is the middleweight clash between Spike O’Sullivan and Chris Eubank Jr, and after refusing to go head-to-head with his Irish rival in the build-up to the fight, O’Sullivan showed why there was a hesitancy as he planted a kiss on Eubank Jr during their face off.
Unsurprisingly, it didn’t go down well as the pair had to be separated with both men, similarly to the two fighters in the main event, supremely confident that they will claim a comprehensive win.
The card also features the likes of Tony Bellew, Luke Campbell, Kevin Mitchell and Paulie Malignaggi, but all eyes will be on the heavyweight clash to round off the night.
