Anthony Joshua will look to make it 10 straight wins in Liverpool on Saturday night as he takes on fellow Briitsh heavyweight Michael Sprott at the Echo Arena.
With promoter Eddie Hearn talking up the prospects of facing the likes of David Price, Tyson Fury and David Haye in 2015, Joshua insisted that he is taking his career one step at a time and is fully focused on his challenge on Saturday.
Sprott is a seasoned fighter and he will look to derail the Olympic champion’s progress, although inevitably he gives up a significant height and reach advantage against Joshua.
Nevertheless, it is likely to be one of the British prospect’s most difficult tests to date, and he will hope to come through with another stoppage and to further cement his place as one of the most exciting talents in boxing across the world.
Jamie McDonnell, Scott Quigg, Callum Smith, George Groves and James DeGale all feature on the undercard to the main event which will see Nathan Cleverly take on Tony Bellew.
