Arsenal crash out of FA Cup after home defeat to Championship outfit Blackburn.
72′ [0 – 1] K. Kazim-Richards
Arsenal’s hopes of ending their eight-year trophy drought suffered a huge blow as they were knocked out the FA Cup by Championship side Blackburn.
Despite dominating the match, the Gunners failed to take their chances, with returning Ivory Coast international Gervinho wasting a glorious first half opportunity and Tomas Rosicky hitting the crossbar.
Colin Kazim-Richards scored with 18 minutes remaining and Blackburn survived sustained Arsenal pressure to become the first lower league side to beat the North London club in the FA Cup since Arsene Wenger took charge of the 10-time cup winners.
The pressure is certainly mounting on the Frenchman.
