Daniel Sturridge, Jordan Rossiter, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino, Dejan Lovren, Christian Benteke, Jordan Henderson and Jon Flanagan were all unavailable as Liverpool travelled to Tottenham Hotspur, but there was another injury crisis going on elsewhere on Saturday.
In the Championship match between Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City at Hillsborough, which ended 1-1, referee Keith Stroud had to be replaced late on after getting hurt in a collision with Chuba Akpom.
England Under-21 star Akpom, who is on loan at Hull from Arsenal, flattened Stroud in the 90th minute of Saturday’s draw.
The 46-year-old ref then hobbled off the pitch and was replaced by fourth official Darren Handley for the final moments of the game.

Wednesday took the lead through Fernando Forestieri, before Abel Hernandez levelled to maintain Hull’s unbeaten run, which now stands at six games.
