Man United’s home not the fortress of old, believes Frenchman.
Much has been made of Thierry Henry’s appearance on Sky Sports’ coverage of Arsenal’s Champions League defeat at Napoli last night, with fans swooning over his punditry and amused by his banter with former Tottenham midfielder Jamie Redknapp.
But Henry also proved a decent pundit and impressed with his opinion on Manchester United’s troubles in the Premier League during a discussion with Sky regulars Redknapp and Gary Neville.
The Frenchman said the fear factor had gone from United’s home, where they have lost consecutive league matches to Everton and Newcastle.
Henry said: “When we used to go to Old Trafford, we knew they were going to come out strong. But now when I see teams going to Old Trafford, they don’t show fear, they play, they pass the ball around.
‘They need to recreate the fear people had going to Old Trafford and they’ll be alright,” concluded the 35-year-old.
