Giroud tells reporters personal chant gives him ‘goosebumps’.
Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud has revealed his pride at having at his own chant – an adaption of The Beatles’ classic Hey Jude.
After a difficult start to life in North London, the Frenchman has become a key player this term and has scored seven goals in just ten appearances.
Giroud’s form – coupled with the woefulness of his back-up, Nicklas Bendtner – has rapidly made him a fan favourite and the Gunners faithful have replaced the words ‘Hey Jude’ with ‘Giroud’ in a popular chant.
And the former Montpellier striker has revealed his pride at having a personalised song and says he gets goosebumps every time he hears it.
“I am really proud to have my own song,” Giroud told reporters.
“It makes me have goosebumps. It’s really nice [to hear] when you are on the pitch.
“I love the English pop rock so I love The Beatles, Coldplay as well. I like a lot of English music.”
