Gunners’ 16-year-old impresses in FA Cup cameo.
Gedion Zelalem became the first player to represent Arsenal born after Arsene Wenger was appointed manager when the 16-year-old appeared as a second half substitute in the 4-0 FA Cup fourth round win over Coventry at the Emirates Stadium.

Playmaker Zelalem, who has been compared to former Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas, represents Germany at youth level although he is also eligible for Ethiopia.
The former Hertha Berlin youngster, who turns 17 on Sunday, impressed after replacing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the 71st minute, with the hosts leading 2-0 thanks to Lukas Podolski’s brace.
Oliver Giroud and Santi Cazorla added goals late on as Wenger’s side cruised to victory.
