Arsenal fans love getting ahead of themselves – it’s what they do best… Remember this summer when Gooners everywhere were adamant that they were going to sign Karim Benzema and win the Premier League this season?
Conversely, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is famed for playing it cool. The Frenchman lived up to his reputation following Saturday’s 5-2 win over Leicester City.
Alexis Sanchez, who had not scored a single club goal this season before today, hit a stunning hat-trick at the King Power Stadium, while Theo Walcott also looked sharp as he got on the scoresheet.

Arsenal have now gained two excellent results in just four days, following on from Wednesday’s 2-1 win at London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Capital One Cup.
Despite his side’s fine form – and the fact that the Gunners are five points ahead of reigning champions Chelsea and just three below leaders Manchester United – Wenger is refusing to get too excited.
When asked by a Sky Sports reporter to say ‘where he thought Arsenal were’, Wenger responded by saying: “We are a team in progress.”
