No. 15 Auburn is leading No. 1 Alabama, 33-27, in the third quarter of yet another exciting Iron Bowl. Auburn wide receiver Quan Bray made a catch on the sideline as an Alabama defender also put his hands on it.
Both coaches and the officials debated whether this was a catch or an incomplete pass since Bray allegedly did not have full possession before stepping out of bounds.
Controversy nearly erupted when the play was reviewed despite the ball being snapped after the play was whistled dead, and Auburn head coach Gus Malzahn became furious.
