Kangaroos make several changes as the tournament begins to heat up.
Australia coach Tim Sheens names his team to face Ireland at Thomond Park on Saturday, with the return of Billy Slater among seven changes.
The Kangaroos have secured two wins from as many games, after a 28-20 victory over England in the tournament opener and a comfortable 34-2 win over Fiji in driving rain last Saturday.
Th biggest change in the side for this weekend’s clash with Ireland is the resting of North Queensland Cowboys star Johnathan Thurston, who will watch on from the sidelines after being named man-of-the-match in his side’s first two games.
