Australia’s vice-captain reacts to being recalled to the India tour and the birth of his first child.
It has been an unusual week for Australian vice-captain Shane Watson. After being suspended by the coaching staff for the third Test against India in Mohali, he returned home for the birth of his son.
Now Watson has been recalled to the Test squad for the fourth Test against the Indians, despite previously stating he was considering his future in cricket.
In fact, the 31-year-old may even be called to captain the side, with usual skipper Michael Clarke is struggling with his fitness ahead of the Test in Delhi on Friday.
