Just as it seemed New Zealand were clawing its way back into the Cricket World Cup final, Australia all-rounder James Faulkner delivered a hammer blow.

With the Kiwi’s fighting back into the game through a solid partnership between Ross Taylor and Grant Elliott, Faulkner turned the game on its head after claiming two quickfire wickets.
Faulkner dismissed Ross Taylor (40) & Corey Anderson (0) to leave the Black Caps reeling at 151-6.
Taylor was given out following a DRS review by the Australian’s after Brad Haddin took a sublime diving catch:
Anderson stepped into the crease but didn’t have any effect on the game for New Zealand, marching back to the pavilion after making a duck:
Earlier on, New Zealand got off to a poor start after skipper Brendon McCullum was clean bowled for a duck:
Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson were looking to put New Zealand’s innings back on track, but pair fell to Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Johnson respectively.
