New Zealand looked to be in even more trouble in the Cricket World Cup final when semi-final hero Grant Elliott has given LBW following a Glenn Maxwell delivery.

The Kiwis, already reeling at 66-3, looked to have lost another wicket when Elliott’s attempted sweep-shot saw the ball crash into the Black Caps batsman’s pads.
Ross Taylor immediately signalled to Elliot to review the call, with replays showing the ball clearly missing the leg stump:
New Zealand will be thanking its lucky stars for the DRS system, as a wicket would have seen the game swing massively in Australia’s favour.
Earlier on, Kiwi skipper Brendon McCullum was dismissed for a duck after being clean bowled by a superb Mitchell Starc yorker:
