Aussie skipper Michael Clarke keeping his fingers crossed he will be able to play in the fourth Test vs India on Friday.
Australia’s captain Michael Clarke has been struggling all week with a back injury but has refused to rule himself out of the fourth Test in Delhi until the morning of the game.
After failing to train in the two days before the match on Friday the signs don’t look good for Clarke but he is remaining hopeful.
If the skipper does or doesn’t play, Australia will still have a selection headache with four suspended players returning to the side, as well as wicketkeeper Matthew Wade, whilst pace bowler Mitchell Strac has gone home to have an ankle operation.
Australia have already lost the series against India but will want to avoid a whitewash by not losing the last Test.
