David Andjelic, an amateur player from Sydney, posted a video on social media of himself running through a wall of bricks in an effort to get a place on upcoming reality series ‘NRL Rookie’.
The 19-year-old ended up with bloodied elbows and legs, but he didn’t seem to care.
Andjelic says that while lifting weights can help on-field performance, there’s nothing quite like running through a brick wall.
“All these people lifting weights…What’s that got to do with the footy field? Yeah, it makes you better physically, but it’s what’s [in the heart] that counts.” Andjelic explained.
