The Spaniard gets off the mark for City.
Alvaro Negredo scored his first goal since signing for Manchester City from Sevilla, but the Spaniard’s effort wasn’t enough to keep European champions Bayern Munich at bay.
A goalless first half was not without its chances as fellow new face Stevan Jovetic went close for the visitors, whilst Franck Ribery forced a smart save from Costel Pantilimon.
However, in the second half Negredo latched onto a through ball and beat Dante for pace before finishing low and hard past Manuel Neuer.
Yet not long after Pablo Zabaleta was punished for a handball inside the area and Thomas Muller equalised from the spot, before Mario Mandzukic sealed the win with a fine header across goal.
