Bologna ease relegation fears with crucial home win.
First half:
27′ [0 – 1] A. Ljajic
Second half:
58′ [1 – 1] M. Motta
85′ [2 – 1] L. Christodoulopoulos
Bologna eased their relegation fears with a fine 2-1 win over Champions League chasing Fiorentina at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Tuesday night in Serie A.
A first half Adem Ljajic strike was cancelled out by a Marco Motta header and Lazaros Christodoulopoulos rifling home the winner to seal the home side’s comeback.
The win lifts Bologna three points away from the drop zone but seriously dents the Viola’s European ambitions.
Three points would have taken the visitors level on points with fourth-placed AC Milan but they remain sixth, while Bologna jump two places to 14th.
