German champions held again as their grip on the title loosens.
Bundesliga Champions Borussia Dortmund lost more ground on leaders Bayern Munich after only managing a 1-1 draw at Borussia Moenchengladbach on Sunday.
A great day for Bayern Munich. With their closest rivals only able to draw, a Bundesliga title looks increasingly likely. And that was despite Dortmund taking the lead. Mario Goetze tripped by Marc-Andre ter Stegen and he converted the resulting penalty.
But the defending champions let Amin Younes score his first Bundesliga goal. The 19 year old making it 1-1.
And then Dortmund missed the chance to secure victory, Sebastian Kehl missing when it seemed easier to score. His manager Jurgen Klopp couldn’t believe it neither could Bayern Munich.
Bayer Leverkusen didn’t fare any better at the Bundesliga’s bottom side. infact they were close to going behind early on as Gonzalo Castro cleared off the line.
Daniel Carvajal had Leverkusen’s best chance but a 0-0 draw leaves them well off the pace.
