Boston take three game series lead over rivals New York.
The Boston Bruins moved one step closer to the Eastern Conference finals of the NHL Playoffs, as they took a commanding lead in the series matchup against fierce rivals the New York Rangers.
In what was a tight affair in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night, and it was the Rangers who took the lead first in the second period through Taylor Pyatt.
However, Boston came back strong in the final period, and drew level Johnny Boychuk’s neat finish, before Daniel Paille scored the winning goal with three minutes remaining.
Game four is on Thursday evening, and a series sweep of the Rangers will give Bruins fans bragging rights in the North East all year round.
