Blow-out win for Celtics seals seventh spot in East.
The Boston Celtics clinched seventh spot in the Eastern Conference following their comfortable 120-88 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday night.
Courtney Lee had a team-high 20 points off the bench, as Boston move to 41-39 for the season having led for the entire game.
Jeff Green added 17 points, while Kevin Garnett continues his comeback with his third appearance in the last 11 games, as he posted up 14 points and nine rebounds in less than 19 minutes.
In contrast, Orlando tied an unwanted NBA record, as they lost their eighth home game by 24 points or more. They have one remaining game at the Amway Center this season, with the Chicago Bulls the visitors on Monday.
As for the Celtics, while it would appear that the New York Knicks lie in wait in the play-offs, they face the third seed the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night.
