Celtics avoided an embarrassing sweep to local rivals and believe they can push on in playoff series.
The Boston Celtics were able to avoid the sweep to offensive powerhouse New York Knicks, and now believe they have the ability to continue this for the rest of the series.
Before the Celtics personnel took the podium, Knicks head coach Mike Woodson lamented his team’s performance, and warned them that another performance like that would be unacceptable.
Doc Rivers then took the podium to praise his team’s performance in the fianl quarter, and that more clutch performances from individual players were needed if they were to fight their way back into this series.
