Amir Khan was the target of a prank during an interview this week but he went on to wear a Floyd Mayweather mask and call out his rival again.
In an interview with RDX, Khan is asked about which fight he wants this year before the interviewing crew all don the Mayweather masks much to Khan’s surprise.
The 28-year-old then joins in and puts a mask on while holding a bundle of cash as he is asked questions and pretends to be the unbeaten American superstar.
However, that doesn’t last long as he abandons the mask and tells Mayweather to “shut up and get the fight done man” as he continues to chase the mega-fight that he has craved for years.
Regardless of Khan’s efforts, tongue-in-cheek or not, it is looking more and more likely that Mayweather will take on long-time rival Manny Pacquiao in May.
The two camps are understood to be making progress in talks with reports earlier this week claiming that Pacquiao has agreed to terms of the deal while broadcasters Showtime and HBO begin to negotiate a deal to do a joint-broadcast of the bout.
As a result, it is likely that Khan will have his hopes dashed yet again which may force him into considering a domestic showdown with IBF welterweight world champion Kell Brook this summer instead.
