Anthony Joshua’s highly anticipated clash with Dillian Whyte at the O2 Arena in London on December 12 is on the verge of selling out.
According to Sky Sports, tickets have been going fast since they went on pre-sale on Monday before going on general sale at midday on Wednesday.
It is suggested that the O2 will be sold out for the event, with promoter Eddie Hearn also expected to put together an impressive undercard involving his Matchroom stable.
Joshua has moved to 14-0 (14 KOs) in his professional career, while Whyte returned from a two-year suspension and has been active to get to 16-0 (13 KOs).
The bad blood between the pair originated from their amateur days with Whyte claiming a win over his fellow Brit, before their relationship turned sour.
The ‘Body Snatcher’ insists that he supported Joshua at the Olympics, but was personally hurt when his fellow heavyweight gave a critical interview in a magazine after it was announced he had been banned.
While the pair have naturally built up their rivalry since in order to build interest in this fight, it has threatened to boil over in more recent times after clashes at press conferences and weigh ins for different bouts last week.
Nevertheless, the pair won’t have much longer to wait before they trade blows as one will emerge victorious and settle their feud on December 12.
